November 2025

The November 10th, 2025 meeting was called to order at 7PM. The board approved permits for Large Assemblies at the Dakota County Fairgrounds for the Dakota County Ag Society. There was public comment on the need to finish the ordinance manual. The was a presentation from Inspectron on building permit processes and costs. The was a presentation from Dakota County elections on the township switching to mail in voting. At this time the board did not make a decision on this issue. The Solar Farm presentation has be rescheduled to December due to travel issues from the government shutdown. The board did discuss the possible need for ordinances to regulate the growing of Cannabis in the township, more information will be needed before any decisions are made. The board will be notifying Al Maghfira about the dead screening trees on the property. Al Maghfirah also provided a map to the township showing the property usage stages. Training expenses were approved for office staff. The board will be researching acquiring a credit card for the township office. Prior to the board meeting there was a public hearing where the Fee Schedule for the township was reviewed, changes will be made and it should be approved at the December meeting. Board member Pete Schaffer will be taking on the responsibility of regular maintenance at the townhall. There are concerns about certain property buildable rights, the board will do more research on the issue. The board voted to approve the county to regulate septic tank pumping. The was a complaint letter that board members Schaffer and Larson will be looking into. The board voted to renew the contract with GDO Law. The meeting was adjourned at approximately 9:30PM.
